Meet Jen

My Journey

Due to a significant change in my life, I suddenly had to change states to be closer to my parents. This had me leave a job and enter a role that was well below my usual experience level.

It was unfulfilling and incredibly draining, however, due to the need for financial security for my daughter, I stuck it out. Through this, however, I burnt myself out and spiralled to the edge of depression.

Coaching was my turning point. It was the awakened understanding of resisting external approval and seeking only internal validation and peace.

This took me on a deep journey of research to develop the tools to help other in effortless change.

Since then, I have dedicated myself to becoming an expert in coaching and behaviour and have helped numerous people build their lives from the inside out.

Through courage and dedication I have established my own thriving business and have built a life of happiness that pours out through my work and passion.

None of us are broken or need fixing, we just sometimes need a guiding hand to help you take control of your power, be present in life and to live your life from the inside out.

My Journey

Change can be hard, and it can happen all at once – a new home, a new job, a new purpose. Adjusting to civilian life after years of service can be particularly difficult. Your family may be excited to have you back safe and sound, but deep down you’re not even sure you want to be there.

Your values and understanding of the world are fundamentally changed and you miss that sense of belonging and purpose that only another veteran who has shared those experiences can understand. Each day the stress builds and soon you’re locked in survival mode, just trying to get through the daily grind.

You know you need to find the right support but you don’t even know where to start. You just want to find peace, to feel calm and connected to the people you love, and discover a new sense of purpose and contribution to the world again.

The great news is, you can.

I’m Jen and I help defence force veterans and their families, to ease their suffering, lighten their load and help them regain a sense of peace, calm and purpose. So they can get out of survival mode and start truly thriving in their lives.

And the truth is, it’s easier than you think

My Approach

My approach is different from traditional methods. There’s no big to-do list, no overwhelming series of steps you have to do in order to be happy. Nor is it about reliving painful memories and digging into the past.

It begins as a conversation, around how we experience life and how we can build our own resilience, and how we can be better equipped to handle life and its inevitable ups and downs. It’s an approach that is incredibly simple and incredibly powerful. And it works.

When you work with me, you will:

  • Feel heard and understood
  • Feel a sense of peace and calm
  • See a light at the end of the tunnel and have renewed hope and possibility for the future
  • Experience a ripple effect across every area of your life.

My story

I know that feeling of belonging, of being a part of something bigger, of making a real contribution to your country. And I understand the isolation and loneliness, once you leave that behind.

I know first hand because I’ve been there.

I served in the Australian Defence Force for 20 years – 10 years as a reservist and 10 years in the regular army. I’ve lived up and down the Australian eastern seaboard from Puckapunyal to Townsville. And I loved almost every single minute of it.

My experiences during those years weren’t always a bed of roses, however. Like many veterans, I endured a painful separation and divorce, as well as the heartbreak of IVF, the stress and uncertainty of adoption, and a devastating medical discharge after 20 years of dedicated service.

Sudden change

Suddenly, I was on the outer, cut off from the close-knit community I had grown to know and trust like a family. I had a young daughter in tow and I had to start over and rebuild our life. This was a familiar experience for me as a soldier, packing up and relocating to a new posting every four years but this time I was doing so as a civilian with no job to go to, and lots of paperwork to complete. It was a massive change and all I wanted was my old life back.

Mine is a common story. Perhaps it’s your story too. One of feeling lost and directionless, of seeking answers and not finding them, of feeling disconnected and detached from life and the people I cared about.

Seeking answers

My search took me down the traditional paths of counselling, psychology and coaching. I studied a diploma in life coaching which included hypnotherapy, neurolinguistic programming (NLP), cognitive therapy and I even looked into spirituality. But nothing worked. I was still struggling, I was still suffering.

And then I came across an understanding that changed everything. It helped me to see the world, and myself, in a different light, and with that came an extraordinary sense of relief and calm. It was so powerful.

I knew this was what I had been looking for, and I also knew that I was in a unique position to share with others what had helped me, to use my experiences and insights to help others coming through along the same path. I had the power to help and be of service once again.

All we need as human beings is to feel heard and understood, to be connected to the people we love and the world around us. It’s as simple as that.

I would love to show you how.
